Well what can I say.....my curiosity and love for hair and makeup started from a very young age, 10 to be precise.
Growing up with creativity and design surrounding me, my father was a bespoke Saville Row tailor and my mother was John Galliano’s sample seamstress, all I knew was fashion and trends. From this tender age and watching 'old school' movies, all that captured me was the hair and makeup - Audrey Hepburn’s liner, lashes and sleek bun (think Breakfast at Tiffanys), Mary Poppins' lined upper lids, flawless skin and peachy lips and Madonna’s curls, red lips and sculpted cheeks.
In my teenage years, I start experimenting - mastering the liquid liner and the ombré lip. I straightened my hair using just an iron, ironing board and towel (in the days before GHD) and this is when I found my true passion. I wanted to become a hair and makeup artist.
With the backing of my wonderful family I went on to study fashion styling for hair and makeup at the London College of Fashion. These were some of my best years, with all the projects, networking, and collaborating with amateur and professional photographers, stylists, designers, and models, I gained some wonderful friends and started to gather images for my portfolio! This was my stepping stone into the real world!
Here are just some of the companies I’ve worked with – Makeup training for Lancôme, lecturing at London College of Fashion, hair and makeup for London Fashion Week, The Baftas, Hollywood Dreams bridal collection, Muubaa,) Bathroom origins director - corporate, Charles et Figuero tailors, Daily star, Just seventeen
